Is this course for me?
The Business Administration Level 1 Award course offers an opportunity for learners to gain a broad overview of business administration including what it is like to work in business administration, the different areas of business administration and basic IT skills. It will particularly appeal to adults who would like a ‘short course’ in Administration that will also give them a nationally accredited qualification.
What is the course content?
To be awarded the Level 1 BTEC Award in Business Administration a learner must achieve a minimum of seven credits from a bank of units that will include: Preparing and Storing Business Documents, Investigating Rights and Responsibilities at Work and Preparing for Work Placement.
What is the length of the course?
The course lasts for three hours a week for 17 weeks.
How will I be assessed?
Candidates produce a portfolio of evidence to show an understanding and level of skill in the topics offered.
What qualifications do I need?
No formal entry qualifications required.
Where will this course lead me?
Upon completion, this course will lead into suitable employment or progression in your course of study onto NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration (subject to a tutor reference).
