Is this course for me?
The Health and Social Care Level 2 Diploma course enables you to develop the skills and knowledge needed when working in Health and Social Care settings. Your skills in communication, problem solving, team working and time management should develop as a result of studying this course.
What is the course content?
This course consists of 60 credits. The core credits are: Communication, individual rights and needs & ensuring safe environments within the Health and Social Care sectors. The optional credits are: Cultural diversity in Health and Social Care, anatomy & physiology, human lifespan development and health and social care services.
What is the length of the course?
The course is full-time and lasts for one academic year.
How will I be assessed?
By completing case studies, assessments and being involved in group activities throughout the year, you will also undertake an external assessment.
What qualifications do I need?
A minimum of 4 GCSEs. Two of which should be grade C and two of which should be at grade D or above. One C must be in English or Maths, or an equivalent qualification. Plus a successful interview.
Where will this course lead me?
Achievement of three passes, three merits and two distinctions will allow entry onto a Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma course.

You will receive support from a competent, approachable team of staff, who have experience in the Health or Social Care sector. You will learn about values, interpersonal skills and the care needs required for working in the Care sector.
